Property Tax
You know how much your tax bill is, but what else do you know about it?
Do you know:
What rates are applied to what information?
How much land do you pay tax on , .86 acres or 1 acre?
How many square feet in your house, 2160 sf. or 2610 sf. ?
What is the age or effective age of the improvements ?
How much deprecation are you being allowed ?
What is the construction Grade ?
What factors of economic obsolescence should apply ?
What is a " Percent Good " ratio?
How many classes of property make up your large acreage tracts?
Do all acres that make up a tract have the same value ?
When was your property last reassessed ?
What was the reason for the reassessment ?
If you don't know the answer to these and other questions, you can not possibly determine whether your assessment conforms to the guidelines set fourth in STATE law !
Along with rights of property ownership, go responsibilities of property ownership !
Take about a half day out of your business week and a very high tolerance for frustration and review your tax records.
OR------------ Call us and we can do it for you and report to you at your convenience, you can determine if changes or corrections are appropriate. A small error in these records could result in tax bills much higher than necessary and you may never know it.
In any case---If you don't have someone do it for you---Do it for yourself
It's your business---Take care of it !!!
